I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's bout.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
